Camping & Parks

Many Alberta residents take advantage of the season by camping or just getting out to a day use park.  In southern Alberta 23 parks and campgrounds are located adjacent to irrigation reservoirs.  In addition to camping, these popular locations provide opportunities for swimming, fishing, and boating.  For more information on any of these campgrounds or parks, check out the WATER, FUN AND CAMPGROUND publication on the home page.  And remember to prevent the spread of harmful quagga/zebra mussels or whirling disease always “Clean-Drain-Dry” your watercraft (including kayaks and paddleboards), fishing gear, water toys and “Pull the Plug” on your watercraft and before moving to another reservoir.
